Modal is a 100 % biodegradable textile made from beechwood, a natural raw material and basic component for the fabric. The Modal material that makes up the majority of the Obviously underwear is one of the most environmentally friendly textiles that exists. It is made from sustainable beech tree plantations. 1000 kilogram of Modal requires 500 litres of water to produce while the same weight of cotton requires 6,000 litres of water. This results in a huge saving of one of Earth's most precious resources - water. Even the packaging by Obviously for men is Green. It is made from 100% recycled office paper that has not been bleached or chemically treated.
