One Week To Metropolis & Hoverboard Give Away
We are almost one week out from the last major festival of the year which is Metropolis 2018. We are interested to see what the turn out will be like. It is not sold out but a lot of people will get tickets the week of so next week will be really telling. There does not seem to be much of a buzz about the festival this year and that is understandable as the line up is quite weak as we wrote about in an earlier post. Far be it from us to bash a festival but the line ups this year have been really poor across the board so there must be a reason for this. This is also strange as Glastonbury was not on this year so you would think that acts have more slots this year from before.
We are going to try and see if we can get a reason why there are no really big acts at festivals in Ireland this year. Of course some people will disagree and we are not saying that there has not been great acts but we are talking about really big bands that bring a huge crowd. In saying this Metallica are to headline Slane 2019 so that will be a huge gig and one that will most definitely sell out.
Metallica and Slane are a bit of a strange mix. Slane historically does have rock bands but Metallica are very heavy so it will be interesting to see what sort of crowd will turn up. It will be a huge crowd none the less though. Anyway one step at a time and Metropolis should be good fun but we just felt the weak line up could really damage it this year as there has been very little talk online about it from what we can see. Oh and just a note to say if you subscribe to our newsletter we will be giving away a free hoverboard in association with https://www.it-directory.ie/ for Christmas. Thanks for following up and enjoy Metropolis!
