The weekend as a whole was great. I agree with pretty much the general consesus with some over crowding serious lack of bins and facilities. Guys at salty dog tried to short change us, called them on it and got a cold cup of tea with a burst tea bag for our troubles. Lanyard was brutal, why only main stage stuff, I wasn’t going to carry around the book as nice as it was. Favorite acts were Scarlxrd, St Vincent, Nile Rogers, NERD (can’t believe no get lucky together) and a few I don’t even remember the names of!
Left Kendrick after 2 songs, he’s not for me though. Came back at the end and saw half his crowd was gone. Left massive attack as well, found them a bit boring. Friends told me young fathers came out on stage though and I was raging. Thought they might have done a surprise gig then but didn’t see it.
Eco was great. 100% again. Nephew stayed in Wilde. First neighbor he talked to offered him a line of coke at 11am. So much for my good advice of get to know your neighbors. Some of the tent placements….. wow. Someone was under the water tap at the salty dog toilets.
Food wasn’t as good? Found there were less interesting options, maybe just me?
Also noticed how tired I was come Sunday. My back and legs were aching, absolutely aching. After the prodigy I headed straight for bed despite really wanting to stay up.
Overall was great, they can’t possibly up the numbers without increasing everything else it would be insanity.
